At a meeting of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia on 15 December 2011, the Board commended the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) for developing:
- ICM Global Standards for Midwifery Regulation (2011)
- ICM Global Standards for Midwifery Education (2010)
- ICM Global Standards for Midwifery Education (2010) - Companion Guidelines.
