Registration Renewal

The registration renewal date for the nursing and midwifery profession is 31 May. However, if you were registered with a State or Territory registration board as at 30 June 2010 you will have automatically transitioned to the new national registration and accreditation scheme.

Your registration is valid until the end date of your current registration. If you were registered in more than one State or Territory, your registration is valid until the latest end date of your current registrations.

Once in the new scheme, you will only need to renew when your current registration expires. Your first renewal may be for more or less than 12 months in order to bring you into the new registration cycle (and you would pay a pro rata fee accordingly). You will be sent a reminder when your registration is due.

The table below outlines the first cycle of registration under the national scheme to align all future renewals with the date of 31 May. See Midwife Fees or Nurse Fees for costs of annual renewal.
