Registration Transition

If you were registered with a State or Territory registration board as at 30 June 2010 you will have automatically transitioned to the new national registration and accreditation scheme. Your registration is now recognised in the States and Territories of Australia that have enacted the National Law.

See AHPRA FAQ for more information about the scheme.

See NBA FAQs for more information.

Registration Types

The new nursing and midwifery registration types are:

  • general registration
  • limited registration
  • non-practising registration
  • student registration
