Renew before 1 July to stay on the national registers for nurses and midwives

29 Jun 2017

Nurses and midwives who are yet to renew their registration must do so before 1 July to keep practising.

Nurses and midwives who do not renew before 1 July will have lapsed registration and their name will be removed from the national register for nurses and midwives, meaning that they can no longer practise.

Inclusion on the national registers for nurses and midwives is evidence to current and prospective employers of being registered to practise as a nurse or midwife. Registration keeps the public safe in the knowledge that their nurses and midwives are qualified and competent to practise.

Individuals whose registration lapses will need to make a new application for registration.

Renew online today – it’s easy. Watch our short video for nurses and midwives to find out how.
