Internationally qualified nurses and midwives

COVID-19 and the current impacts:

The impacts and response to the COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly evolving and the situation varies across countries and states.

The impact of this is that some candidates required to undertake the OBA pathway may be unable to progress through the exams to be eligible for registration for some time.

The NMBA and Ahpra are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are adapting our regulatory requirements (as possible) to meet emergency health service needs and support health service delivery while continuing to protect the public. This includes working closely with all levels of government. To find out more about how we are responding to COVID-19, please visit the Ahpra website.
