Registration

Once internationally qualified nurses or midwives (IQNMs) successfully complete the Self-check and any required assessment stages, they are eligible to apply for registration. Only at this time will the registration application form be made available within the IQNM candidate dashboard.

When applying for initial registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) you must meet the following NMBA’s registration standards:

• Criminal History
• English Language Skills
• Recency of Practice
• Professional Indemnity Insurance Arrangements
